Jade

Jade consists of two main varieties: Nephrite and Jadeite. Nephrite, made of calcium magnesium silicate, is typically green or creamy white. Jadeite, richer in colours like green, lavender, red, and white, is a sodium aluminium silicate. Both forms are metamorphic rocks formed under high-pressure and low-temperature conditions. Geographically, nephrite is mainly found in China, New Zealand, and Canada, while jadeite primarily comes from Myanmar.
